Goroka Baptist Bible College is a place where many national young men and women have been trained for the Lord’s work since its start in 1974. The heartbeat of the college is 2 Timothy 2:2, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” GBBC is all about equipping the nationals to go and train their own people. Many of these young men and women travel long distances to attend the Bible school. Climbing mountains, fording rivers, and packed into overloaded buses these students come to learn the word of God so hopefully one day they can return to their own people. GBBC has seen over 450 young men and woman graduate and go out.

The Bible College offers degrees in Bible and Christian Education. Bible Classes are offered in both English and Pidgin. The teachers of the school are comprised of both missionaries and nationals. In 2017 GBBC took a leap forward towards nationalization and became governed by its own national board. In January of 2018 Pastor Jack Gundu became our first national Papua New Guinea President.
